After decommiting from Georgia, it seems like a matter of time before John Emery Jr. Another SEC Power. On the heels of LSU, changing the dynamics of the SEC recruiting rankings in the process.

The Destrehan (La.) Senior High School stands 5-foot-11, 206 pounds and is a powerful box of a breakout player. He is considered one of the top-three running prospects in the Class of 2019 and is just outside the top 20 overall recruits in the class, per 247Sports' national rankings.

Perhaps more importantly, he's a USA TODAY Chosen 25 recruit, marking him out of the nation's top 25 recruits regardless of position.

The decision to land on LSU went far beyond in-state proximity, according to Emery Jr.

"The new OC (Steve Ensminger) and the offense," Emery Jr. told 247Sports. "I did not like the offense" I love the change and the hype of the team It's a successful team.

The addition of Emery Jr. virtually assures that LSU's recruiting class will be deemed a successful one, too. The Tigers 'latest recruit moved to the top 5 of 247Sports' team recruiting rankings, with every chance of moving higher still.
