The name is America, Captain America and he is ready to defend 007 against a particularly famous Twitter troll. Chris Evans called Piers Morgan on Twitter to make fun of Daniel Craig for carrying his baby in a "papoose" or a baby wallet. Morgan questioned Craig's masculinity for using the packaging to hold his new baby with his wife Rachel Weisz. But Evans thought that Morgan should look at himself more closely and let him know in less than 280 characters.
It all started Morgan posted a photo of Craig, the current James Bond, on Twitter to walk with his little girl one month attached to his chest. "Oh 007 … not you too? !!!" Morgan tweeted in a mock horror, adding the hashtags "#papoose" and "#emasculatedBond". The tweet became viral and soon the first Avenger sent us a tweet that clearly indicated that real men were wearing Baby Bjorns.
"You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to worry about how another man is carrying his child," writes Evans in response to Morgan's explosion about baby carriers. "Any man who is wasting his time quantifying masculinity is terrified inside." And that's what we should call a cap, it's so hot that even his shield could not protect Morgan.
And Evans was far from the only person to reject Morgan's statements. "Piers Morgan is firmly opposed to … (checks) from parents who take care of their children," the user @avishaiw joked in response to the tweet of the British TV host. While others have begun to post photos of celebrities with papooses, such as Game of thronesPeter Dinklage, and Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, to illustrate how wrong Morgan was.
None of this, however, stopped Morgan from Evans lags behind. "Captain America would not wear papoose," he wrote a few hours later. Why?
