CRÊME PHILADELPHIA – Chris Long is back.

Last year, the Eagles defensive end gave all his salary in 2017 to charitable organizations in Boston, Philadelphia and St. Louis, the three teams (Patriots, Eagles, Rams) in which he evolved during his career.

Mr. Long will donate a quarter of his salary of 2018, which is more than $ 600,000, to the first quarter campaign for literacy.

Fletcher Cox, Eagles All-Pro defensive tackle contributed $ 10,000 in support of this cause Friday also.

The goal is to put more books in the hands of inner-city children in Philadelphia and South Jersey.

Long tweeted that his goal is to get at least 75,000 books donated to children.

Long was one of the Eagles' best defensemen this season, amassing two sacks and 16 quarterbacks, placing him fourth among the NFL swimmers.

The Eagles (2-1) will hit the road in Week 4 for a game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1 pm
