For new film Vice, actor Christian Bale has engaged in the role of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
And because it's Bale, it means really engaged. After the forthcoming film trailer on Wednesday, viewers could not believe their eyes in front of the total transformation that Bale has undertaken to become the politician.
Basel, best known for his iconic roles as the suave, sociopath Patrick Bateman in American Psycho and the hero of the fight against crime Bruce Wayne Batman, is no stranger to big physical changes to really get into the character. But this could be his most dramatic approach to a role so far. Variety reports that Bale 's shaved head, whitened his eyebrows and gained about 20 pounds for the role, not to mention learning all the idiosyncratic ways of Cheney.

Bush and Steve Carell, Donald Rumsfeld. All the famous actors have impressive adjustments to look more like those that the public knows so well about the Bush administration in the early 2000s. But people are particularly impressed by the change of Basel. It's not every day that one of Hollywood's most profitable stars disappears completely in a role.
