The corny proposal, filmed by the poet and author Robinson, showed that he had adorned the court of darkness with a smoking meteorite containing a special tablet – while the Knox read the painting, the soundtrack "ET" played at the background.

"I do not have a ring, but I have a big boulder.Do you want to stay with me until the last star of the last galaxy goes out?" And even after that, "said Robinson. "Amanda Marie Knox, will you marry me?"

"Yes, yes," said Knox, who suspected that she was wearing "Harry Potter" pajamas.

The couple then kissed each other.

"It's so cool," Knox said at a break in their filmed kisses.

Robinson said in a post-note video that the proposal "madness" was a year in the making. He also explained why there was no ringing.

"For the record, Amanda does not wear rings," he writes.
