Church prepared for the Mass in the honor of 8 victims of the limousine accident

AMSTERDAM – The combined mass of eight of the 20 people killed in a limo accident a week ago will begin at 13:00. Saturday at the Roman Catholic St. Stanislaus Church.

Before the worship began, photos, flower arrangements and programs were scattered throughout the church.




They were created to recall the lives of Abigail (King) Jackson, Adam Jackson, Mary (King) Dyson, Robert J. Dyson, Allison A. King, Amy (King) Steen, Axel J. Steenburg and Richard Steenburg Jr. On Friday, hundreds of people attended victims' hours of appeal to the church.

Funeral and calling hours continue this weekend for the other people who were killed when the limousine crashed just before 2pm. Saturday, October 6, when routes 30 and 30A meet at Schoharie. Seventeen passengers, the driver and two people standing near the Apple Barrel Country Store were killed. Passengers were celebrating their birthday as they traveled to Cooperstown.


Matthew Coons' call hours were earlier Saturday at the Fonda-Fultonville School in Fonda. A brief memorial service was to follow.

Scott T. Lisinicchia, 53, is attending a benevolent funeral in Saratoga Springs. The calls lasted until early Saturday afternoon. The funeral immediately followed at 402 Maple Ave. funeral home.
