The Clark County Sheriff's Office says he returned the MP Erin Willey following an internal investigation.
The investigation follows a report from our partners in the newspaper The Columbian, which shows a photo of Willey wearing a sweatshirt with a Proud boys logo.
The picture was given to The Columbian by an anonymous source.
In the photo, we see Willey dressed in a black hoodie with images of a lipstick, a knife dripping blood and letters "PBG", which would mean Proud Boys Girl.
The Proud Boys see themselves as a "pro-Western fraternal organization" for men who "refuse to apologize for creating the modern world". It was founded in 2016 by Gavin McInnes, co-founder and former commentator of Vice Media. McInnes denies this assumption.
The Proud Boys are known in the Portland area for organizing events jointly with and as members of the Patriot prayer group. In the past, these protests have often resulted in violence after being confronted by opposing anti-fascist organizations. [Traduction] "Law Enforcement Officers are peacekeepers whose primary mission is to protect and protect the community." "I expect my employees to not engage in activities or associations that undermine or diminish our role as peacekeepers."
The Colombian reports that Willey is also shown in a second photo shared on a Twitter page affiliated with Proud Boys, which includes its contact information for the purchase of Girls Boys merchants.
