CLEMSON, SC – Clemson offensive coordinator Jeff Scott said on Monday that Trevor Lawrence's injury was "more a nape" than a concussion and the rookie quarterback could resume training on Monday night.

Rookie Chase Brice of Redshirt replaced Lawrence and helped guide the Tigers to a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns that wiped out a 23-13 deficit and pushed the Tigers to 4th overall at 5-0 and 2- 0 at the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Lawrence, who was making his career debut, left the game after completing 10 of 15 passes for 93 yards.

Despite Clemson's victory over Syracuse, the Tigers lost two places in fourth place in the Amway Coaches poll.
