The Cleveland Indians will listen to the commercial offerings of some of their veteran players this winter, faced with the kind of tough choices that small market teams need to take into account, sources said.
The Indians will remain on the short-haul Francisco Lindor and MVP Jose Ramirez next season, but they told the industry that they were ready to discuss other accomplished players, including Corey Kluber, winner of the 2017 Cy Young Award, Yan Gomes and Roberto Perez, slugger Edwin Encarnacion and second baseman Jason Kipnis, among others.
