Luke Bryan was the first and Eric Church was the last performance at the CMA 2018 AwardAnd between the two came a whole mess of subgenera of countries. The traditional countries, pop-country, bluegrass and country-rock were all represented in the annual competition. It was a night rich in emotions, filled with many ballads.

The depth of the songs was distinguished by the performances of this year's CMA Awards compared to previous years. Jason Aldean, Brett Young, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks and Kacey Musgraves were some of the artists who chose slow songs for the show. Wednesday night (November 14) of course offered some jams Keith Urban and Brad Paisley were two who were particularly rowdy. The All-Star Ricky Skaggs jam was something to see. We like Annies with the pistol.
