CNBC: Advertisers move hundreds of millions of people from Google to Amazon – Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN)

Some advertisers move half of the budget normally spent with Google (GOOG). -0.9%) (GOOGL -1.1%) search on Amazon (AMZN -1.2%instead, according to CNBC sources. The movements could amount to hundreds of millions of dollars.

An anonymous Google ad sales manager told CNBC that he did not see his customers moving their search budgets to Amazon but saw them offer separate brands to sell only to Amazon. He says that leadership is "concerned" but that it is not a huge threat at the moment.

Alphabet generated $ 95.4 billion in advertising revenue last year, or 86% of total revenue.
