PKaitlan Collins, a reporter for CNN's White House, resurfaced Sunday, raising excuses.
After the publication of this article, Collins is excused for his "immature" behavior at the university.
When I was in college, I used ignorant language in a few tweets to my friends. It was immature, but that does not represent what I feel. I regret it and excuse me.

Older tweets dating back to at least 2011 were recalled by observers on social media, including Republican gay group Log Cabin Republicans.
In a tweet of July 20, 2011, Collins meets someone using the word "fag". In a tweet of June 8 of the same year, Collins responds to someone saying, "Idk if I want to get a room with a lesbian."
The acronym "IDK" is generally understood online as meaning "I do not know".
Tweets precede Collins' time at CNN. She was working at Daily Caller, a curator, before CNN, but these tweets dated back to when she was at the University of Alabama.
A person who works near Collins at CNN told Washington Examiner Sunday that they were "personally offended" by CNN's old comments.
Collins has sometimes been in trouble with the White House. Last week, she posed questions to President Trump regarding Brett Kavanaugh, a Supreme Court candidate, at a news conference.
