The Coca-Cola Soft Drink Titan "closely monitors" the market for cannabidiol-infused drinks or CBD, the chemical in marijuana that is supposed to relieve pain and anxiety.

Noting that the space for cannabidiol-based beverages is "changing rapidly", the company pointed out that the ingredient did not produce the high level of another chemical derived from cannabis called THC.

"With many others in the beverage industry, we are closely watching the growth of non-psychoactive CBD as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world," he said. Monday Coca-Cola in a statement.
