College Football Empires Map, Week 10: Georgia and Michigan Join the Leaders

Welcome to Week 9 of the 2018 University Football Empires map. Here are the rules:

To start the season, each FBS team had control of its surrounding territory. Each game that involves one or two teams with one territory gives the overall winner. The results continue from week to week, so teams are still trying to take back or expand their lands. For more detailed rules, see the explanations for week 1.

Lands change this week

• Nevada ended the five-game winning streak in the state of San Diego, and the Wolf Pack took control of the Aztec territory in South Texas, Arizona, Wyoming and Michigan.
• Georgia won the world's largest open-air cocktail against Florida and the possession of the largest state, as well as some other scattered territories in the county and territory of Puerto Rico.
• In the only consolidation game this week, Iowa State defeated Texas Tech to take control of Akron's home territory.
• Texas decided not to return this week, losing to Oklahoma State and giving up territories in Oklahoma, Colorado and Maryland, as well as in its entirety in Hawaii.
• Purdue's fashionable train stopped abruptly, with the state of Michigan ceding all the land it had just won from Ohio State to Michigan State.
• Mississippi State has reclaimed its original territory with a victory over Texas A & M. They are now the only team to have lost their home country.
• Houston inflicted the USF's first loss of the season and took over four new territories.
• Georgia Southern showed that her rivalry with the Appalachian State was really deeper than hatred, earning the first victory against a ranked team in the school's history and Charlotte's homeland.
• Delaware thwarted Towson with a last-minute touchdown and secured Temple's homeland, which entered the FCS after Temple's defeat against Villanova.

The biggest games of the week 10

• College GameDay will play in his seventh consolidation game of the season, Alabama-LSU. The first real test of Alabama is a battle for control of much of the Southeast Conference. and much of the southeast.
• Northwestern will look to get his third top 25 angry of the season, while they welcome the Irish Fighting. The winner will control much of Illinois, as well as the title of most owned territories.
• UCF and Temple will face Thursday night to take the lead of CAA East and combine their eight territories.
• Georgia and Kentucky will play to represent SEC East in the SEC championship game and will also fight for Alaska and Puerto Rico.
• Michigan will try to defend its territory against Penn State on Saturday.

• Michigan State has defeated the former leader of Purdue and has taken control of about half of the historic map, thereby offering Ohio State a chance to recover all the land that it has just lost, if Michigan State beats Maryland this week.
• Georgia defeated Florida to seize land from the USF, Ball State, Illinois, WKU, and the state of San Jose. They will try to defend it from Kentucky No. 11 this week.
• Houston defeated USF to seize most of Oklahoma and parts of Texas, Indiana, and Ohio. The map is well prepared to converge all of the US conference grounds into the conference championship match. Houston will play against SMU this week, who will try to avenge their overtime loss to Cincinnati.
• Alabama will focus on defending the territory they have rallied in the last two seasons in the top five against LSU.
• Our Lady hopes to maintain her playoff dreams by facing Northwestern, the current leader of B1G West.
• The UCF and Temple game will result in a combined territory and will reduce the number of teams on the historic map to nine. We are gradually getting closer to a team consolidating the whole map, even if it is clearly more than a year.
• The states of Iowa and Oklahoma play respectively with the opponents of the conference Kansas and Baylor. With the progress of the Big 12, either team could run away.
• The state of North Dakota will try to continue its season without defeat by facing a team from Youngstown State coached by Bo Pelini, former head coach of Nebraska.
