We are heading into Week 7 of the college football season, but let's take a look at what the AP Top 25 could look like after Week 6.
The college football season is already nearing the halfway point – can you believe that. With the progress of the season comes an emergence of serious College Football Playoff contenders.
Despite the slate of games not being quite matchups, there was plenty of intriguing action and upsets were aplenty.
One of the biggest surprises to start the day was a Northwestern victory on the road against No. 20 Michigan State, presumably knocking the Spartans from the rankings. It's odd, Michigan State has plenty of talent, but the Spartans have yet to play the team. Oh yeah, and the Wildcats have won three straight against the Spartans.
The best upset of the day that never happened was Florida State over Miami. The Seminoles had the win in their back pockets, but Miami scored 21 straight points in the second half to thwart any hope, beating the in-state rival 28-27.
Iowa State shocked the rest of the Big 12, beating No. 25 Oklahoma State on the road – the Cowboys are not much at home this year.
The best game of the week had to be the Red River Showdown between Texas and Oklahoma as the Longhorns pulled off the massive upset of Oklahoma, taking control of the Big 12 standings along with West Virginia.
There'll be plenty of movement this week, but what will the Week 7 AP Top 25 look like?
