WHAT IS IN PLAY?
Georgia is trying to remain undefeated and retain at least a share of the lead in the SEC's East Division as it continues its second consecutive participation in the college football playoffs. Tennessee is attempting to win a game against the SEC for the first time since November 2016, while it is attempting to avoid an 11th consecutive loss against a Group Five opponent.
KEY MATCHUP
Georgia QB Jake Fromm against the Tennessee pass defense. Fromm scores 72.5% of his passes and ranks sixth in the FBS rankings in terms of efficiency. Tennessee gave West Greeks Will Grier five touchdown passes in their first game of the season, but the Volunteers allowed the other quarterbacks to complete only 43.7 percent of their passes in the three games since. Fromm is exponentially better than every Tennessee quarterback in his last three games.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Tennessee: RB Ty Chandler has accumulated 224 yards in 31 assists in Tennessee's last two games. He averages 6.3 yards per race this season to finish third in the SEC. His 158-yard performance in a UTEP blast was the highest total in a game by a Tennessee running back since 2013.
Georgia: CB Deandre Baker is becoming one of the best defenders in the country. Baker made his name last week with his cover from Missouri's Emanuel Hall, who had no hold against the Bulldogs after entering the match as the country's second receiver. Baker teamed with Hall for much of the match.
