During ESPN College GameDay From Ann Arbor to Wisconsin, Michigan, ESPN once again chose The Chainsmokers as their guest coach. The Chainsmokers is an EDM-pop duo composed of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart.
And instead of using football-related reasons to pick matches at a college football show, their justifications were the most stupid ones there are. Note: I do not know which guy is in Chainsmokers, so I'll talk about each little brother as a singular Chainsmokers unit.
St. Johns in St. Thomas, Minnesota
"We'll go with St. Johns. I prefer Barbados in general. Oh yes, the good old game of choosing a game on a tropical island where you like holidays. LIKE THAT.
Iowa on Indiana
"Yes, we'll go with Indiana too. They have an excellent bar called Dunkirk where we have spent many nights, so Indiana left it. "
WVU on the state of Iowa
"There is really no good reason for that." At least they are honest.
UCF on Memphis
"UCF too, yeah, it's a tight school." Help.
Texas on Baylor
"Yeah, Texas, we went with them because it's a very big school and we do not want so many crazy people to be against us."
Miami on UVA
Herbie mentions Miami as a party town and, of course, the Chainsmokers agree.
"It's a wise choice for our future." OK!
Florida on Vandy
This is the most painful moment I have ever experienced while watching Play dayand now, I'm really worried about Florida's chances against Vandy. He Gator chomped, help me please.
Florida has also early dropped the touchdown in front of Vandy, so it's officially their fault. The fans behind them have also begun to boo, which is hilarious for me.
Penn State on the State of Michigan
In the previous choice, ND on Pitt, one of the guys said he went to Syracuse. Pitt won last week and so chose Notre Dame. He used this same reasoning to choose Penn State rather than MSU.
"I went to Syracuse, I can not complain in good conscience to Penn State." Yeah, because everyone knows that SYRACUSE-PENN STATE is the best rivalry of college football. Yes, I know that these two teams played a lot from 1920 to 1990, but it's not a rivalry and it's far from Chainsmokers' time.
Colorado on USC
"We are going with Colorado. We wrote a song about Boulder. I suppose that makes sense.
Georgia on LSU
"We were in Georgia last night and in Magic City. We had some free drinks and we said we'd say Georgia if we had free drinks, then. "Magic City is a striptease club in Atlanta, which I guess counts.
One of them then shouted at the crowd "You do not even know Magic City!", Which was hilarious.
I really hope that I will never have to experience another Chainsmokers experience on Play dayIt was absolutely terrible to stay seated.
