Colorado Governor tells New Hampshire crowd that he "leans heavily" towards the presidential race

Colorado's governor, John Hickenlooper, has announced his intention to run for president – in a way.

When it was Wednesday in a New Hampshire coffee shop, the Democrat said, "I'm Colorado's governor and I'm going to run for president." according to shared video by Adam Sexton, WMUR reporter.

After noting that he had not said that before, Hickenlooper sought to clarify his plans.

"To be honest, I did not make the final decision. And if I say that I absolutely go, there are all kinds of legal ramifications, "said Hickenlooper.

"I am strongly inclined" to run, he said.

According to Sexton, Hickenlooper also told another woman at the café, "I am John Hickenlooper and I run as a candidate for the presidency. You are the first person from New Hampshire to whom I have said that.

It has long been speculated that Hickenlooper could embark on the ring in view of a presidential bid for the 2020 presidential election. He has already traveled to Iowa and put on foot a political action committee.

In September, Hickenlooper told Politico that he was considering a potential campaign. He said he asked more than a dozen people for advice before making a decision.

"In Colorado, the response has not usually been sneaky, we thank you for all the work you have done and, you know, I hope you'll get there," he said.

Hickenlooper is at the end of his last term as governor of Colorado. Fox News has ranked the race to replace him as democrat leaning, with Jared Polis as Democratic candidate and Walker Stapleton as Republican.

It is Wednesday in New Hampshire to campaign with some state democrats, according to the Concord Monitor. He was also in New Hampshire during the summer for a family vacation. However, he spoke at a Democratic event and met with members of New Hampshire's young Democrats during this period, the newspaper reported.
