President Trump appears to have been the victim of a phone call. The podcast host and former staff member of "Howard Stern Show," John Melendez, better known as "Stuttering John," claims to have made the call Wednesday as Mr. Trump returned from 39, a campaign rally in Fargo, North Dakota.
While the White House does not comment on the subject, the audio was posted online in a podcast. On the six-minute appeal, Melendez claims to be Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey and appears to engage the president in a number of pressing issues, including immigration and the president's pending decision to name a Supreme Court Judge ] to replace the retiring Judge Anthony Kennedy
At one point in the conversation, the President congratulated Senator Menendez for his recent acquittal on charges of Corruption and declares: "You have gone through a difficult situation.
When asked to confirm whether the president was on the call, a White House official told CBS News: "We do not engage at all on this subject.
