The US Space and Rocket Center hosts the International Space Apps Challenge.
The event is a hackathon where coders, designers, builders and anyone else can come up with ideas and create apps. Space Apps brings people together regardless of their skill level.
Last year, the event brought together more than 25,000 participants on six continents.
There are two divisions, high school and college / professional. The teams compete for $ 10,000.
Participants can be mentored by local subject matter experts, giving everyone the opportunity to learn new skills.
The event is free and open to the public, so join Urban Engine for the NASA Space Apps Challenge International in Huntsville from October 19 to 21.
