EUREKA, Juab County – Family members say a body found Saturday in Juab County is that of Jan Pearson-Jenkins, a sandy woman who has been missing since October 4.

The Deputy Sheriff of Juab County, Brent Pulver, said that a body had been found after a search operation organized with the agency's search and rescue team, in addition to volunteers.

"I can not confirm the body's identity – indirectly, one might think it's his," Pulver said.

He did not specify where the body was found or how that person died.

"We were looking for two things in the area: looking for evidence of her and where they were camping, and earlier in the day we discovered the actual location of the camp that places it there. some evidence that puts it there, "he said.

Pearson-Jenkins, 64, went camping on October 4 with Cody Young. Young sent text messages to Pearson-Jenkins' brother the next night, informing him that they had quarreled and that he had left her in the Silver City area. Eureka.

"He no longer wanted to tolerate his behavior and that's when he got out of the van," said Jace Pearson, Pearson-Jenkins' brother.

Pearson described SMS as weird.

"It flouted, it's 55 pages of SMS talking about their crazy relationship," he said, adding that the argument might have to do with money.

"It was work that my sister had done to Cody to do some repair work at my mom's house," Pearson said.

Juab County officials checked the area where Pearson-Jenkins was suspected of being suspected of being last seen without being located. Pearson-Jenkins did not have a mobile phone or purse, and she was not dressed for bad weather.

Police said that they had not been able to locate Young.

Young is described as being white, measuring 5 feet 5 inches, thin and in his mid-forties. According to police, Young also has facial hair and golden brown hair that he wears in a ponytail. He also wears glasses.

Police believe that Young was driving a dark colored van with Arizona license plate CGA3392. The van is described as older, perhaps since the 1980s.
