BERKS COUNTY, N.J. – A New Jersey couple was killed in an accident on their way to their wedding.
Kathryn M. Schurtz, 35, died tragically, along with her fiancé Joseph D. Kearney, according to a memorial dedicated to Schurtz.
News 12 New Jersey announced that the accident had occurred Wednesday on Interstate 78 in Berks County when a truck-trailer collided with the back of their car , causing a chain reaction with four other vehicles.
"We will remember her for her voracious appetite for reading, her love of cooking and her new pioneering adventures with Joseph," read Schurtz's obituary.
