Crew prison confidante gives explosive testimony in murder plot

Inmate Jennifer Robinson told the jury that Hoehn had not participated in the death of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, a 22-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant. Hoehn is on trial for a conspiracy charge to assassinate LaFontaine-Greywind in August 2017.

Robinson testified that Crews told him in prison that it was Crews who "strangled Savanna with a rope, drugged her into the bathroom" herself doing a caesarean section and cleaning up afterwards.

Robinson stated that Crews told her that she had moved the body into a closet and that detectives had passed twice in front of the body while they were in Crews and Fargo's apartment north of Hoehn. Crews pleaded guilty in this case and is serving a life sentence.

LaFontaine-Greywind disappeared on August 19, 2017. Her baby was finally found in the possession of the crews and her body was found in the Red River on August 27, 2017.

During cross-examination on Thursday, the prosecution listed many of Robinson's earlier convictions, including disorderly conduct, an assault on a police officer and a lie to the police.

The prosecution asked why Robinson had waited to provide the new information, and Robinson said the decision weighed heavily on his conscience and that she wanted justice done.

Attorney Ryan Younggren repeatedly asked Robinson why she had not informed the authorities earlier of what she knew, and Robinson fired back, claiming Younggren was "beating her" and was annoying her. .

Robinson testified that she was "shivering in her skin" when the crews told her what she was doing. "Brooke Crews do not scare me, sweetheart," Robinson said. "She is a devil in disguise."

Robinson stated that Crews told him that Hoehn was "shaking and crying" when he opened the bathroom door.

The crews have already testified that she cut the baby from LaFontaine-Greywind after a physical altercation caused LaFontaine-Greywind to fall on the bathroom sink and she lost consciousness.

The crews testified that when Hoehn returned from work, he opened the bathroom door, commented and asked if LaFontaine-Greywind was dead.

Crews said he told Hoehn, "I do not know. Help me, please. Hoehn went for a rope and he put it around LaFontaine-Greywind's neck, according to Crews.

Crews stated that Hoehn had then stated that if LaFontaine-Greywind had not died before, "she is now".
