EDMONTON, Alta. (AP) – Sidney Crosby defeated two defensemen, conceded the mark and scored a backhander in goal at 2:12 of overtime to allow the Pittsburgh Penguins to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 6- 5, Tuesday night.

Crosby opened the scoring in the first period and his second goal of the season was the winner. Crosby s' left the table on the left, slipped the puck between the legs of a defender, overtook the Oilers goalkeeper, Cam Talbot, and fired a shot from the back over the Talbot glove For victory.

Jamie Oleksiak and Patric Hornqvist also scored two goals for the Penguins, who have won two in a row.

Leon Draisaitl and Alex Chiasson each scored twice, while Connor McDavid had the other for the Oilers (3-3-1), who lost their second game in a row.

Matt Murray recorded 41 saves in the win, while Talbot threw 25 shots in the loss.

COYOTES 4, BLUE JACKET 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Christian Fischer got his first hat trick in career, Darcy Kuemper stopped 35 shots and Arizona rallied to beat Columbus.

Fischer scored in all three periods to help the Coyotes defeat Columbus for the first time in the last seven tries until 2015. Derek Stepan got the first help of all three.

Dylan Strome also scored for Arizona as alternate Kuemper earned his first win of the season in two starts.

Pierre Luc-Dubois scored and Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves in a rather gloomy match for the Blue Jackets, even though they had 10 more shots on goal.

Columbus defenseman Seth Jones made his debut in the season after suffering a ligament injury to his right knee right on September 25th. He was expected to miss up to six weeks before returning in less than a month. He scored four shots on goal.

RANGERS 5, PANTHERS 2

NEW YORK (AP) – Mats Zuccarello and Mika Zibanejad each scored two goals and New York broke a two-game losing streak.

Kevin Hayes also scored, Neal Pionk added two assists and Alexandar Georgiev made 36 saves for New York, who had her third win of the season.

Vincent Trocheck and Mike Hoffman each scored their third goal of the season and Jonathan Huberdeau had two assists for the Panthers, who dropped to 1-3-3 although they kept the lead in every game.

Michael Hutchinson stopped 15 shots in his fourth game for Florida.

CANADIANS 3, FLAMES 2

MONTREAL (AP) – Jeff Petry and Jonathan Drouin each scored a goal and an assist as Montreal won for the fourth time in five games.

Brendan Gallagher also scored for the Canadians, who lost once in eight games this season. Carey Price made 21 saves and tied Patrick Roy for second place in the team's history with the most wins by a goalkeeper with 289.

Michael Frolik and Elias Lindholm scored for the Flames and David Rittich made 37 saves.

BRUINS 4, SENATORS 1

OTTAWA, Ont. (AP) – David Pastrnak has two goals and two assists, Patrice Bergeron added one goal and two assists for Boston.

The Bruins (5-2-2) posted a three-game losing streak and defeated the Senators for the second time this season. David Krejci scored his second goal of the season and Tuukka Rask made 38 saves.

Thomas Chabot scored the Senators' only goal (4-3-1), which saw his three-game winning streak end with a season-high 3-2-0 as he left for three games. Thursday game trip.

Brandon Saad also scored his first two goals of the season, helping Chicago improve to 1-1 on a three-game family match.

Rickard Rakell scored for Anaheim and John Gibson finished with 35 saves. The Ducks have only four goals in their slips.

SHARKS 5, PREDATORS 4

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Brent Burns scored in 2:52 to complete the recovery after a two-goal deficit, and San Jose beat Nashville.

The Sharks have cooled the NHL's most prominent team, ending the Predators' five-game winning streak.

Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier, Brenden Dillon and Joe Pavelski also scored for the Sharks, who won their third straight game.

Viktor Arvidsson of Nashville scored two goals and one assist. Filip Forsberg and Craig Smith added goals.

Martin Jones of San Jose made 25 saves. Juuse Saros of the Predators finished with 27 saves.
