A 59-year-old man, Bartlett, was charged with deadly shootings Friday at a Roselle spa where he was a client, officials said.

On Friday, around 3:40 pm, the sheriff's deputies responded to the Bella One Spa at 25W319 Lake St. for a gun call. Officers found a wounded man, according to the press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The victim, Kyle A. Gojdas, 29, of Glendale Heights, was found without reaction on the scene and declared dead, officials said. Gojdas worked at the spa.

Police in Hanover Park saw Donald R. Pelka rushing fast near Amarillo Street and Greenbrook Boulevard. Pelka was taken into custody and handed over to deputies of the DuPage County Sheriff, the statement said.

Investigators found that Pelka was a client of Bella One Spa and had started a confrontation with employees, the statement said. Pelka then continued to argue with Gojdas in the parking lot where he pulled out a handgun and fired two bullets at his chest, the statement said.

Pelka appeared in the bond court, where he was sentenced to a $ 1 million bail.

His next hearing was scheduled for October 22nd.
