The safety of the Seahawks, Earl Thomas, had an impact in the first game of the season after a season of commercial speculation.
Thomas recorded five tackles, two pass separations and one interception in Seattle's 27-24 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Thomas did not participate in the Seahawks training camp, preferring instead to stay in search of a new deal. After the opening of Sunday's season, Thomas said he wanted to stay with the Seahawks "they wanted him".

Seattle does not want to move for the moment. The Seahawks are content to let the Cowboys start the season with Jeff Heath and Kavon Frazier safe while Xavier Woods is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Thomas posted on his Instagram after returning to the Seahawks, saying, "The lack of respect has been well noted and will not be forgotten."
