Dallas Cowboys: Geoff Swaim and Randy Gregory risk coming back

The Dallas Cowboys could have a little more firepower on Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive tackle Randy Gregory and tight end Geoff Swaim are likely to come back after an injury. Both missed Monday's loss to Tennessee.

Swaim, who sprained his right knee on Oct. 21 against the Redskins, wears a compression sock to relieve inflammation. He was expecting to play against the Titans but was sidelined when it was determined that his route was still limited.

Gregory, who underwent minor knee surgery during the departure, was limited in practice this week. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is optimistic about Gregory's availability. The defense ends David Irving (sprained ankle) and Taco Charlton (shoulder) did not practice this week and were dismissed. Swaim and Gregory are listed as doubtful.

"We had a few other guys who were nicknamed that I think I could be in better shape to run," Jones said.

In other staff news, the Cowboys activated receiver Noah Brown and released receiver Deonte Thompson and defenseman Treston Decoud. It is also expected that receiver Lance Lenoir will leave the training group. A hamstring injury kept Brown in the casualty pool from training camp.
