Alumnae Damien Harris's attacking midfielder has passed the protocol and is expected to play Saturday against Auburn, said coach Nick Saban.

Harris, one of the best players on the team, suffered what Saban called a "mild concussion" in the second half of a win against Citadel last weekend. He did not practice on Mondays.

"We hope to be able to play on Saturday, without fail," Saban told the SEC's coaching teleconference on Wednesday.

Harris has accumulated 678 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Crimson Tide's No. 1 rival hosts rival Auburn on Saturday. Regardless of the outcome, Alabama will face Georgia in the SEC championship game on December 1 in Atlanta.

Offensive linemen Alex Leatherwood, who has an ankle injury, and Deonte Brown, who has a foot injury, are considered everyday. Both are available for practice and are making progress, Saban said.
