Do not expect to see the original Harry Potter during a viewing of Harry Potter and the cursed child.
Daniel Radcliffe appeared on Wednesday Late at night with seth meyer, where he was asked about new Broadway shows, written about the Potterverse.
"I have often asked this question and I always feel like a really boring and terrible answer, and I will probably not see it," he admitted. "I do not intend to do it." Not because I think it would throw me into an existential crisis like, "Oh, did that happen?" But even more, I feel it would not be a relaxing evening at the theater. "
Radcliffe, 29, who played the wizard for eight films, went on to explain: "I feel that I would be watched for my reaction, and maybe it's completely vain and selfish and that people are safe." But I feel that as if I were just surrounded by Harry Potter fans, it would be a little strange. "
Facilitator Meyers asked if he was thinking of dressing up, which he replied: "The problem with a disguise is that if it does not work anymore, then you're just a guy wearing a disguise."
He then noted that he had attended a music festival with his friend Rupert Grint, who was playing Ron Weasley in the movies.
"For some reason, because we were young, cool and nervous, we had access to the old gas masks of the Second World War, so we put them on," he said. "And then it was very hot very quickly so we just removed them." Everyone went from "who are these two idiots into gas masks," to "Oh, look who it's. "It was not a good feeling – it's sworn to disguise me."
Radcliffe sang a different tune about disguises in 2015, when Ashley Crossan of ET asked the British actor if he intended to see the first film. Fantastic beasts movie.
"I think I may have to go lightly in disguise," he said at the time. "But I will definitely be [seeing it]! "
