Week after week, season after season, and now transaction time per transaction, the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft is unfolding before our eyes.
With the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dante Fowler Jr. finally gave up Tuesday's attack. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams for a third and fifth round pick, 11 of the 32 first-round picks of 2015, dropped by their team. This does not place 2015 in the same business as the first round of 2013 (which is undoubtedly one of the worst collections of recent decades), but it is climbing to the charts of infamy . And that could become much worse.
First choice, QB Jameis Winston: Leading the buccaneers of Tampa Bay out of their mind with the same mistakes he's made since he's been named.
No. 2, HQ Marcus Mariota: Despite all the optimism on the part of the Tennessee Titans front-office, he is often injured and can not turn the corner.
Nos 3 and 4 (see below)
No. 5, OG Brandon Scherff: A star starter and a Pro Bowler for the Washington Redskins who, compared to the top of this project, are really worth his selection.
No. 6, BY Leonard Williams: It used to be like a record-breaking defensive team for the New York Jets, but it did not fall short of this hype.
No. 7, WR Kevin White: Absolute disaster for the Chicago Bears. Injuries. Problems of mental toughness. It is not worth the buzz that propelled him to the position of coach in 2015. He has 263 receiving yards in his career. Yuck.
No. 8, DE Vic Beasley: A total headache for the Atlanta Falcons who had an epic season of 15½ sacks in 2016, followed by mediocrity. For someone with so much talent, he also has embarrassing moments on film.
No. 9 (see below)
No. 10, RB Todd Gurley: The one who should have been ranked # 1 and would have been worth it … even as a running back. He has fought to be the NFL's most valuable player this season and has been one of the best offensive players in football since 2015.
It's a pretty ugly collection – and these are the guys who kept their franchises until the end of the fourth year. But 11 other players in the first round of 2015 have not changed – and that's what makes this first round a dreadful one. Given in particular the very likely dumping of some of the types mentioned above in the top 10. Here are those that have already been washed away by their original teams:
No. 3 overall, Fowler: He lost his rookie season with a knee injury and never completely turned a corner in Jacksonville as the Jaguars thought they had a decisive advantage. He will now try his luck with the Rams' defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips.
No. 4, WR Amari Cooper: He started as a gangbuster for the Oakland Raiders with two Pro Bowl throws in his first two years, then faced a wave of injuries and a falling pass. His last 20 games have been pretty sneaky for new coach Jon Gruden (and some fans) to consider the Dallas Cowboys first-round pick as a huge win. Now he will try to get back on track with Dak Prescott as early as this week.
No. 9, OT Ereck Flowers: A guy who appeared to be a joker by the New York Giants on draft day proved to be the definition of a bust. He drove the coaches into asses, almost had Eli Manning killed regularly, and basically drove passersby in the expectation of being paired with him. It has been cut this season and is now with the Jaguars.
# 12, DT Danny Shelton: Regarded as a fat bastard capable of breaking the pockets of the Cleveland Browns inside, Shelton rarely looked special in the NFL. It started for three seasons on bad defenses, but probably would not have been more than a spinning cog. That's what he became for the New England Patriots, who acquired Shelton and a fifth-round pick in the last off-season for a third round.
No. 18, BC Marcus Peters: One of the rare cases where a special player was the right choice for the Kansas City Chiefs, but carried his home in three seasons. Peters was a Pro Bowler, All Pro and Defensive Rookie of the Year in Kansas City. He was also mercurial, in a bad mood, in contradiction with the coordinator of the defense and not always the happiest type of locker room. According to one source, "we do not have to worry about him on Sunday. We had to worry about him on Wednesdays. This allowed Peters and a sixth-round pick to play the Rams last season, in exchange for a selection for the second and fourth rounds. The Rams love him and he will also receive L.A.'s contract that he was probably never going to get to Kansas City.

It was a project that Cleveland had not seen coming. At all. The Chiefs bought him for peanuts in the 2017 off season (picking the fifth round) and he became a usable starting guard there.
# 26, WR Breshad Perriman: The Baltimore Ravens fell in love with his size and speed in the drafting process and stalled after Perriman ran two races of less than 4.3 seconds to 40 yards. of his professional day at UCF. Upon his arrival, Baltimore soon realized that he was a raw actor of the project. The knee injuries were derailed and ended when the Ravens refused his fifth year option. He bounced from the Washington Redskins to the Browns, where he currently has a shot for 6 yards.
No. 28, OG Laken Tomlinson: The Detroit Lions thought they had a 10-year-old beginner at the guard with Tomlinson. But it was inconsistent for two years and did not correspond to what a new front office was waiting for from its offensive line. He was treated with the San Francisco 49ers for a fifth-round pick in 2017 and has been a consistent starter for them ever since.
No. 29, WR Phillip Dorsett: A serious player who was supposed to defeat the best defenses for Andrew Luck was an often injured player who could never lock a beginner position. Just a lot of speed in a straight line and little else, which the Patriots have discovered after dealing with quarterback Jacoby Brissett for him. An exchange that the Colts have won brilliantly, by the way.
No. 30, SS Damarious Randall: In fact, the choice is pretty solid for the Green Bay Packers, who play and show talent. But he was also extremely inconsistent and when the front office was transferred to a new regime, he was the first to go into a deal with the Browns against quarterback DeShone Kizer. He has been pretty much the same player for the Browns, as a quality star who has to deal with injuries but also a brilliant talent.
No. 31, LB Stephone Anthony: He came out of the grid quickly for the New Orleans Saints, each time looking like the drummer they hoped to become a rookie. But a change of position at the linebacker position and the resulting injuries put his career aside and he still has not recovered. The Saints abandoned him to the Dolphins for a fifth-round pick in 2017 and have not regretted it because Anthony has a hard time being anything but a player.
