Actor Dave Chappelle has never hidden his opinions, and the former host of "Chappelle's Show" had something to say about Kanye West's visit to the White House this week.

In an excerpt from an appearance with CNN's Van Jones, Chappelle quickly praises Yeezy.

"First of all, you know, Kanye is the artist, man. And he's a genius, he says.

"I think the angle in which he sees things is about the division he sees," he added. "And – and it's not inconsistent with what he says."

However, Chappelle explained that admiring West's talent does not mean he's being simpatico with his support of President Trump.

"I'm not mad at Kanye. It's my brother, I love him, I support him, "added Chappelle. "But you know, I do not have to agree with everything he says … I just trust him as an intentional person. But yes, he should not say it all.

Chappelle admitted that he was not afraid to apply the same sentiment to his own words, especially his remarks about the newly elected president at the November 2016 "Saturday Night Live" presentation.

"I said we should give Trump a chance because he's the president of the United States," he said. "I should not have said it's ** t."

The entire Chappelle interview with Jones is scheduled to air Saturday night.
