David Beckham says marriage to Victoria is "hard work" and has become "more complicated"

David Beckham admitted that his marriage to his wife Victoria had always been a "hard job" just months after the couple had been forced to deny split rumors.

The former footballer spoke frankly about his marriage in a new interview, revealing that the 19-year-old couple's relationship has become "more complicated" over the years.

The couple was recently forced to deny that he was planning to divorce after rumors swept the Internet at the beginning of the year, calling the speculation "suspicion of s ***".

In a video excerpt from her upcoming interview on the Australian Sunday Project, Beckham said, "When you're married since the time we have, it's still a hard job."

He added: "It gets a little more complicated."

Victoria recently spoke of speculation in an interview with British Vogue, in which her husband was visibly absent from the cover.

The fashion designer told the magazine that she and her husband "had the habit of ignoring the nonsense" and that they were "stronger together".

She said, "People have been inventing things about our relationship for 20 years. David and I have a habit of ignoring these nonsense and continuing as usual.

"But these things have a wider impact on the people around us, and it's unfair."

In elaborating, Victoria explained that she was a "brand" and said, "We both realize that we are stronger together than individually.
