A second death related to West Nile virus has been reported in Michigan.
An 80-year-old man from Oakland County died of the virus, health division of Oakland County said Tuesday.
This is the first West Nile death in the county since 2015 and the second this year in the state.

The Oakland County Health Division has released the following tips to protect you.

Repellents containing a higher percentage of the active ingredient generally provide more durable protection. Always follow the instructions on the product label.

- Limit outdoor activities from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
- Maintain mosquito nets on doors and windows to prevent mosquitoes from entering buildings. Do not open the doors.
