Deaths reported after Jet crashed on the runway

UPDATE: 5:38 pmA fuel leak from Thursday's accident in Greenville raised concerns about nearby water contamination, Greenville News reported. The aircraft began to leak fuel and ignited a fire after crashing on the runway and split in half.

The jet was identified as a Dassault Falcon 50. At least four people were on board, two of whom died. Two others sustained serious injuries.

UPDATE: 16h30-The spokesman for the Greenville Fire, Tristan Johnson, said the two people who died in a plane crash on Thursday were the pilot and co – pilot of the plane, according to WSPA. TV. One person died on the scene and another died in a hospital.

Two others were injured and in critical condition.

At least two people died after a plane left the runway and crashed in Greenville, South Carolina on Thursday, reported FOX Carolina. The plane crashed at downtown Greenville Airport on Thursday afternoon.

Injuries were also reported, according to KSN, although it was unclear how much and to what extent. Photos of the scene showed the front part of the plane on a broken pavement near the nose.

We do not know immediately what caused the exit of the plane. Greenville police said the plane entered Airport Road. Authorities said the call was launched around 13:30. local hour.

Police said they would publish additional details as soon as they were available.
