The quarrel between Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon is not over soon.
After slamming Sarandon for a video interview in which she claims that Donald Trump's presidency inspired women and minorities to stand for election (Sarandon blamed Messing's anger on a headline), the women continued to bang on Twitter via sharp retweets.
Messing, 50, targeted the 71-year-old with a retweet accusing Sarandon of not caring about separated families at the border.
"I would literally pay for a service to purge @SusanSarandon in all its forms from my feed. This woman has not suffered from her position on Trump and seems perfectly happy about the suffering of others. Caged children But luckily, it inspired, "said the retweet, in response to Sarandon's video.
Messing also retweeted another answer that Hillary Clinton deserved praise for getting more women to run, not Trump.
"Every time Hillary Clinton ran, she inspired more women to run. Whenever Hillary Clinton fought for civil rights, she inspired more PoC to run. To give honor to a man for the achievements of a woman is one of the basic principles of the Patriarchate.
Sarandon continued to defend herself by pointing out that the video shows a different feeling from what the title implied, accusing clickbait of being indignant.
"I understand why @ Variety's clickbait title would be disturbing, but after watching the video, you'll see that's not what I said," Sarandon tweeted.
The quarrel between the two men resumed on Wednesday when Messing saw the title of the video and started fighting Sarandon on Twitter. The two men quarreled until the 2016 presidential election and continued to exchange words after Trump's victory.

"STFU SUSAN," tweeted Messing. "Oh yes, PLEASE leave the credit to Trump. I mean, otherwise, how can you go out on the street? Do you convince yourself that this DISASTER for a President you said was better than [Hillary Clinton] DO NOT tear children away from parents who ask for asylum.

Sarandon was quick to respond by tweeting: "Debs, before you become good people yourself, try clicking on the video and listening to what I'm really saying, not the clickbait title of @ Variety, which does not have quotation marks. It's an index .. "
In his tweets, Messing retorted that people were inspired to lack "desperation" and "panic" because of Trump. She also targeted Sarandon in opposition to Clinton in the 2016 presidential election in favor of Bernie Sanders, and then continued to campaign against her when she won the Democratic primary against Sanders.
Sarandon was a vocal critic of the Democratic Party for years, while Messing was a staunch supporter of Clinton throughout his failed campaign.
