Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s sangeet ceremony took place on Tuesday afternoon at Casta Diva, a luxury resort on the east side of Lake Como, in the pretty village of Blevio.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s wedding festivities kicked off with a grand sangeet ceremony, where several popular Hindi and Punjabi songs were played. The sangeet ceremony included a special guitar tribute from Ranveer and Deepika’s family members, where they played the stars’ songs for them. Ranveer and Deepika are said to have danced to Aayat from their film Bajirao Mastani.
Ranveer and Deepika had zeroed in on the picturesque Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como for their wedding festivities, but given that Balbianello weddings usually take place in the open, and given that the weather in the town is pretty cold and there are chances of rain, the ceremonies are said to have been taking place at the luxurious Casta Diva resort instead.

We told you earlier that Bollywood singer Harshdeep Kaur and her team would be performing at the sangeet, and they did. Harshdeep’s husband Mankeet Singh also posted a photo from Lake Como. The playlist at Ranveer and Deepika’s sangeet included wedding favourites like Kala Sha Kala, Mehendi Hai Rachney Wali, Mehendi Ni Mehendi and Gur Naal Ishq Mitha. It was a Punjabi-style function, with guests dancing to beats of the dhol.

Ranveer took to the floor yesterday and sang Tune Maari Entriyaan from his film Gunday.
After the live music session, old Hindi classics like O Haseena Zulfon Wali were played by the DJ.
Ranveer and Deepika are having two wedding ceremonies to honour each other’s beliefs – one will follow Sindhi rituals, while the other will be according to Konkani tradition.
Both the weddings will be a close-knit affair, with only friends and family members in attendance. Only a select few from the film fraternity have been invited, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan. Fashion designer Sabyasachi, who is in charge of Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding trousseau, is also at Lake Como.
For their guests, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are said to have sent out handwritten notes.
Ranveer and Deepika will spend their time in Italy till November 17, after which they will return to India.
Once they are back in the country, Ranveer and Deepika will host a lavish reception for their friends from Bollywood at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on November 28. But before the Mumbai reception, a party is to take place at Bengaluru on November 21, where the Padukone family is throwing a bash for their friends at The Leela.
Ranveer and Deepika have been dating for six years. The couple hit it off on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Ram-Leela. Over the past years, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have never quite clearly said that they were in a relationship, but have given out adequate hints as far as their equation is concerned. From their romantic dates to frequent hand-in-hand appearances, Ranveer and Deepika have given their fans enough fodder to last six years – till they finally announced that they were getting married.
On October 21 this year, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to social media to announce that they were tying the knot on November 14 and 15 this year. Over the past few weeks, the excitement among the stars’ fans has been palpable. It is, after all, the biggest, fattest Bollywood wedding of 2018!
