Demi Lovato took an important step in his recovery, three months later overdose.
Her mother, Dianna De La Garza, appeared on Friday in the Sirius XM podcast of Maria Menounos, where she revealed that the singer of "Skyscraper" was sober for 90 days.
"Yes, she has 90 days and I can not be more grateful or proud of her because addiction is an illness, it's a job," said De La Garza, 56, in "Conversations with Maria Menounos. "
"It's very difficult, it's not easy and there is no shortcut," said the mother of three about sobriety, adding that she "really can not say for sure" what which triggered Lovato's relapse in July.
Lovato, 26, was rushed to hospital from a home in Hollywood Hills on July 24, after a possible drug overdose, as was first reported by TMZ and People.

De La Garza, who has published his memoir "Falling with the Wings: The Story of a Mother", is open to learning about the awful news that the she called it a "nightmare for any parent".
