Demo Strategist: "Asset Facilitators" in Democratic Party Disturbing Pelosi

A long-time Democratic consultant and strategist said Monday in "The Story" that a small group of moderate Democrats allowed President Trump to create problems for the future Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.

Robert Zimmerman said that about a dozen Democrats within the problem-solving group, a group of bipartisan supporters with the common goal of working together on legislation, are hurting the party by not defending Trump.

Several caucus Democrats, chaired by representatives Tom Reed (RN.Y.) and Josh Gottheimer (DN.J.), urge Pelosi (D-Calif.) To develop new rules of the House that they hope " will break the blockage "on Capitol Hill.

"I am a strong supporter of bipartisanship," he said, adding that he had previously worked with Republican lawmakers.

He snatched Gottheimer and his Democratic counterpart in New York, Tom Suozzi, claiming that they supported "some of the right-wing initiatives" announced by President Trump.

Nine Democrat members of the problem-solving group, including Gottheimer, Suozzi, Dan Lipinski of Illinois, Kurt Schrader of Oregon and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, issued a statement calling on the House Democrat to take action specific to create a better bipartisan.

"We hope that leader Pelosi will join us (…) to help break the stalemate and enact meaningful legislation to improve health care, immigration and infrastructure", says the statement obtained from The Hill newspaper.
