Democrats reject Trump Nafta Deal Without Canada

WASHINGTON – The Trump administration's decision to implement a new North American Free Trade Agreement without Canada facing resistance from a group that officials hoped would provide significant support to the revised pact: Democrats Congress.

Some traditional democratic constituents, including labor unions and other labor groups, supported efforts to address labor issues during the NAFTA review. But several Democratic lawmakers, informed by the US trade representative, Robert Lighthizer, expressed their opinion on Thursday.
