He fired his fists – but only for excuses.

World heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is excused – somehow – after hitting a mascot on national television.

The bronze bomber was at ESPN's Spanish language show "Nacion" two weeks ago when he opposed the moustached and sombrero mascot of the program as a waterfall to promote his next fight against Tyson Fury.

But he was moaning so much about the suit-dressed opponent that the poor guy was falling on his back, causing unconfirmed rumors, Wilder fracturing his jaw.

Well, Wilder asked Twitter to apologize half to the suffering mascot. He was sorry to have hurt the man "if this is true" and offered him tickets to attend his fight.

"I sincerely apologize to the brave man who was hurt (if that's true). I have the most room [sic] great respect for him, his participation, his will and his courage. If this is true, I would personally invite him to my fight of December 1st. Word is Bond » the heavy weight tweeted.

According to rumors, Wilder would have broken the jaws of the mascot, but the promoter of the fight, Showtime Boxing, denied that the man was seriously injured, according to Sports Bible.

ESPN was not able to provide immediate comment.
