WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Bill Shine, chief of communications staff at the White House, has received multi-million dollar compensation from Fox News Channel's parent company and owes millions more, according to a new financial disclosure report.
The report, released on Friday, shows Shine receiving $ 8.4 million in severance pay from 21st Century Fox after his departure in May 2017. He will also receive bonuses and option payments in 2018 and 2019, for a total amount of $ 7 million for both years. The agreement is due to expire on May 1, 2019.
Shine joined the Trump administration earlier this year. He resigned as co-chair of Fox News because of issues related to his handling of the sexual harassment and discrimination charges that led to the departure of CEO Roger Ailes and Bill O. Reilly, Fox News personality .

Trump's administration has also hired many former Fox personalities, including State Department spokesman Heather Nauert and National Security Adviser John Bolton.
