Dick Van Dyke, 92, looks the same as Mary Poppins

The trailer Return of Mary Poppins is finally here – and a special appearance has the fans of the original classic talk.

On Monday, Disney released the first feature film of the eagerly awaited sequel, giving fans a glimpse of taking on Emily Blunt's flying nanny who rescues Banks's kids. The clip of more than two minutes also shows Cockney's accent of Lin-Manuel Miranda for the first time, as well as other favorites like Meryl Streep and Colin Firth in their roles.

But the real star of the trailer is Dick Van Dyke, 92, who is making his triumphant return on history disguised as Mr. Dawes Sr. The iconic actor played Mr. Dawes Sr. in the first film using the prosthesis to age, but it did not need help this time around.

The fans are stunned and compared the two appearances of the character on Twitter, which shows that Van Dyke looks exactly the same 54 years after playing with Julie Andrews in the original.

Some only now have realized that it was Van Dyke in the original movie to start.

"Well today, I learned that Dick Van Dyke was playing the role of the old man at the bank in the original Mary Poppins!", Wrote a user.

Fortunately, a helpful user had a video taken from the original end credits that brazenly revealed Van Dyke's secret role.

"Also, for those of you who did not know that Dick van Dyke was playing Mr. Dawes … you've never experienced the final credits," the user wrote.

Directed by Rob Marshall, the film will be released in cinemas on December 19th.
