A few moments ago it was revealed that Netflix has canceled Iron fist, preventing the series from getting a third season on the streaming platform. Of course, his schedule is special, especially after the second season led by Raven Metzner was widely regarded as one of the most improved shows in the Marvel Television team. In reality, Iron fist had set a record as the most improved show on the critics aggregation site Rotten tomatoes.
Moments after the cancellation, all the news Iron fist digital media platforms shared the same picture – one of Danny Rand in a yellow mask with the word "Immortal" prominently on the front.

This leads us to wonder: did Netflix decide to part with Iron fist in exchange for a brand new show? Maybe one with not only Danny Rand of Finn Jones, but the other Immortal Weapons?
The second season of Iron fist made many changes to K-protector a-Mon. Namely, they demonstrated that the power of the Iron Fist could be transferred between participants arranged after a ritual.
This is how Davos de Sacha Dhawan was able to get his steel snake powers, to comic precision, after all. And it's certainly a way for the Netflix universe to easily integrate the other immortal Weapons myths from Iron Fist into real action.
If you are not aware, the Immortal Weapons are other super powerful beings from various other mythical cities. Each immortal weapon can manifest the chi differently. Fans were able to enjoy the Nine Spider Bridge – the immortal weapon of the Kingdom of Spiders – in a brief role during the first season. But characters like Fat Cobra, Tiger's beautiful girl and John Aman's Prince of Orphan have yet to make their debut.
Or now that Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) is one of the characters with Iron Fist powers, will fans get a glimpse of what's in demand? Girls of the dragon spin off? Henwick's on-screen chemistry with Misty Knight of Simone Missick was one of the best parts of season two and, frankly, it would make a fantastic show for the Netflix segment of the film universe Marvel.
Again, maybe Netflix has canceled Iron fist in favor of a brand new show on characters completely new to the MCU. Marc Spector's Moon Knight, maybe? What about a horror show starring Blade and Elsa Bloodstone?
Were you surprised to see Netflix cancel Iron fist after a second season much more enjoyable? Do you think that they will replace the series with another series based on the Marvel characters? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
