On the day of her funeral, Beyonce and her former boyfriend, Diddy, remembered Kim Porter on social media.

The rapper, whose real name is Sean John Combs, tweeted a heartfelt message about the late model, actress and mother of three of her children on Saturday.

"Today, we rest our ANGEL, his spirit is still alive with us, we thank you all for your prayers and your support," he tweeted, accompanied by a photo of Porter. "You have no idea what it means to us, we thank GOD for you all."

Porter died at his home in Los Angeles on November 15 at age 47, but the cause of death has not yet been established by the coroner's office of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. An autopsy was performed the next day, but results were delayed for further testing, which could take weeks.

Porter was remembered Saturday in his hometown of Columbus, Georgia. Among the guests included Diddy, Kimora Lee Simmons, Mary J. Blige and Faith Evans, who would have sung at the event, according to E! News and TMZ.

DJ Khaled also tweeted that he was at the funeral.

"We have come to Columbus, Georgia to pay homage to Kim Porter's beautiful grace forever! God bless the Porter, Goodwin and Combs families! You are always in our prayers!" he wrote with a picture of himself holding a program.

The news sites report that Porter will be buried alongside his mother, Sarah Lee Porter, who died in 2014.

Diddy was not the only star to pay homage to Porter via social media. Beyonce has also posted a series of photos on her Instagram account of the late star.

The singer subtitled a picture of a young Porter with the lyrics of his song "Heaven".

"The sky could not wait for you," she wrote, adding the emoji of the hand in prayer.
