Disney Streaming Service: release date, name, shows and movies

[ad_1]

Disney is betting big on its 2019 streaming service, called Disney +.

The company is ending his relationship with Netflix at the end of the yearand will make its own home the exclusive venue for many Disney movies, TV shows and other streaming content.

You may think "No Disney, I do not want to pay another monthly fee", but that's the direction that the entertainment industry takes. Netflix seems to release original programs and films every week. Hulu (which will be majority owned by Disney following the acquisition of Fox entertainment assets) provides a home for many shows on the broadcast network. CBS pumps its full service CBS All Access from Star Trek Shows and other original programs. (Disclosure: CBS is the parent company of CNET.) And DC Entertainment now has its DC Universe Broadcast Service full of DC shows, movies and comics.

Is the Disney + 2019 Streaming Service so something you should consider? Let's go through all the details we know here, but the TL: DR is this: if you like Star Wars or Marvel, yes.

On November 8, Disney announced a series of Star Wars series based on Thief A and starring Diego Luna, who played Cassian Andor in the original film. Disney has also confirmed that the service is develop a live series of action focused on Loki, an Avengers character and starring Tom Hiddleston, reproducing the role.

What is the Disney streaming service?

The Disney + streaming service will be a competitor of services such as Netflix. Customers will be able to subscribe at the advertised monthly rate to access Disney TV shows, movies and other videos.

When is the release date?

You can wait even longer than Avengers 4 for that: Disney says the shoot is scheduled for release by the end of 2019.

How much will it cost?

Disney has not yet announced a price for its streaming service, but expect it's less expensive than Netflix.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said in November 2017 that his company's service price "would reflect the fact that its volume will be significantly reduced," but plans to offset it with high-quality programming from his empire.

Shows and movies: What will I be able to watch?

Disney plans to make Disney + home online for all of its family-friendly content, while Hulu – which Disney will control after taking control of 21st Century Fox – will be subscribing for lower, more adult-oriented rates . Disney + will be the only place where you can cast all of the Disney movies released in 2018 and include content from the Disney brand itself, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic. In fact, it is organizing the application according to these categories.

In addition to live shows and movies, the animation is supposed to be an integral part of Disney +, "said CEO Bob Iger, who will direct original documentaries behind the scenes. Out of Disney's vast catalog library, Disney + is supposed to offer "unprecedented access", but we do not know exactly what will be included or left out.

We know that the service will include programs and films such as:

  • Star Wars: The clone war new season (exclusive to this service)
