When Disney Star wars Land Galaxy's Edge opens its doors next year, it will have a familiar soundtrack – Weekly entertainment reports John Williams will provide the score and a preview of what to expect, as well as an analysis of two of the park's greatest experiences.
The first of EWThe videos from the channel show a new look behind the scenes of the park's construction, revealing a vast array of buildings and landscapes, on music that is the "main theme" of Galaxy's Edge. EW also presents two videos highlighting the park's top attractions: Smuggler's Run, aboard the Millennium Falcon, and Rise of the Resistance aboard a First Order ship.
The video of construction shows a gigantic world called Batuu – a phenomenon already mentioned in the recent novel by Timothy Zahn. Thrawn: Alliances – and in particular a village called Black Spire, described as a "remote commercial outpost" in the middle of a forest of petrified trees. The score is epic and radical, and we certainly feel part of the Star Wars universe. Hopefully Disney will release a soundtrack for those of us who can not go in person.
The two additional videos show detailed and immersive experiences. For "Smugglers Run", visitors will board the Millennium Falcon and pilot the ship from Batuu. They will play one of three roles: "The mission will be a success". The video of "Rise of the Resistance" shows Interior Finished from a first-rate spaceship, equipped with Stormtroopers and droids while a fleet of resistance comes out of the hyperspace just at the # 1. 39; outside. EW explains that the experience will show "what it's like to be caught in the crossfire of a battle in the space between the First Order and the X-Wing dogfighters" and that visitors will be able to fight against Kylo Ren.
The park is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and in the fall of 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Disney said the park will be a totally immersive experience, with visitors interacting with characters from the universe and staying in a hotel decorated like a spaceship.
