"Dog the Bounty Hunter" joins the manhunt for a man who reportedly wants to "put a bullet" in President Trump's head.

"Dog the Bounty Hunter", whose name is Duane Chapman, told the Mansfield News Journal that he was joining the search for Shawn Richard Christy, 26, a Pennsylvania man who allegedly threatened the commander-in-chief.

Christy has been on the run since June 19 after allegedly threatening John M. Morganelli, the County Attorney of Northampton, Pennsylvania, and Trump in a Facebook post that has since been deleted.

"Keep up with that Morganelli, I promise you I'll put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump," Christy would have written.

Chapman told his home media in Hawaii that he had a "very hot runway" on the Christy site.

"I gave him messages," he continued. "My goal is not to kill him but to bring him back."

The reality TV star told the media that he was due to arrive in Mansfield, Ohio on September 27th. Originally, he planned to visit the region to organize a meeting on "addiction and the search for redemption".

Chapman said that he hoped to be able to help with the research and "bring it peacefully".

After the publication on Facebook, a federal warrant was issued for the arrest of Christy. He is also wanted in Pennsylvania for burglary, breach of probation and failure to appear for a serious assault case.

The research, now involving the US Marshal Service, the FBI, and the Secret Service, spans several states and reaches northern Canada. Christy was also wanted in Ohio, where he reportedly abandoned a stolen truck.

Authorities offered a $ 20,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Christy, but warned that it should be considered armed and dangerous.
