The Ministry of Health (DOH) said Thursday an epidemic of leptospirosis in parts of Metro Manila after the peak of cases in recent weeks.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms of leptospirosis in humans may include: high fever, muscle aches, vomiting, jaundice (skin and yellow eyes) and diarrhea, among others.
