DALLAS (AP) – Luka Doncic gave the Dallas Mavericks a glimpse of a promising future – and extended a bad week for the Golden State Warriors.
The rookie scored 24 points, including a short jumper who put Dallas in the lead for good. The Mavericks beat the Warriors 112-109 on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old Slovenian arrived in the NBA after leading Real Madrid to the 2018 Euro League title. On Saturday, he scored a 10-foot goal in the hall with 1:10 left to push Dallas to 109-108, before sealing the game with two free throws seven seconds from time.

Kevin Durant scored 32 points, but only three in the fourth quarter on a 1-for-7 shot. Klay Thompson added 22 points for the double NBA title. Durant missed two shots and Thompson one at the last minute, which could have either equalized the game or give Golden State a lead.
