Peters did not point as much as to recognize the reality of the Eagles' situation. Wentz was missing nine months with the same injury: a torn ACL and MCL. The quarterback was limited during training camps and coaches and missed the entire pre-season and first two games of the regular season.

"I have to play better and that's all," said Peters. "I take responsibility for everything that has happened today. The O-line has not provided much reason for optimism, it is still up to the task in 2018. Even Peters realizes that the Eagles are in a perilous situation after falling to 2-3 on Sunday.
